It’s true what they say about interior designers showing signs of their career choice as a kid. That was definitely me with my toys, my bedroom, and the rest of the family home. As an Army brat and Air Force vet's wife, I have always craved the feeling that is Home.
 

After I moved to Texas in early 2018, I saw a need to help sellers and Realtors show off their homes for sale. I also believe good design should be affordable, because your home should be your happy place. For these two reasons, Listing and Living, I started Creating Home with Desirée. The balance and details of our surroundings absolutely make all the difference for creating Home.
 

Making sense of different challenges brings me absolute joy. Even before I started my business, I helped several homes sell (including my own) by properly preparing them to show. One of my hobbies includes looking at listing photos online and seeing if anything could have been done better for the benefit of the sellers, buyers and Realtors. 
 

I believe in blooming where I am planted, so making the best of what I have is a major part of who I am. People, both in person and online, tell me I have a gift for making spaces feeling homey and inviting through mixing colors, styles, patterns, shapes, and textures. It has translated well into my staging, designing, and decorating for others. Paint colors are psychological and magical. It is amazing what paint can do, but also all that goes into selecting the right color. I thrive on helping transform a space with paint! 
 

With years of education through research, hands-on learning, the best mentors, and skilled contractors, I have strengthened and grown my God-given talents. I am very much a believer of networking and asking lots of questions. No one ever knows everything; always be teachable. Every new job is a new experience I am grateful to have, so my portfolio and reviews are huge blessings to me. I believe in doing good work for everyone involved, working with honesty and sincerity.
